PR for Good supported the PR and event management of the HONG KONG [email protected] which was held on 6 September 2015. The fun run promoting social inclusion attracted almost 10,000 runners including elders, families, disabled persons and wheelchair users.
Our team took care of the planning and execution of the kick off ceremony of the three races on the event day, the organisation of a Green Market, NGO booths and Obstacle Run at the carnival in conjunction with the running races. We also helped with volunteer coordination as well as the formation of charity partnership of the event.
On media publicity, we staged a flash mob in the bustle and hustle area of Central, a cost-effective way to create buzzes before the event opened for registrations. In May, we organised a press conference that involved celebrities, athletes and supporters. We devised various newsworthy story angles and convinced target media to cover the event through media pitching.
Positive media coverage that values more than $4.7 million results from the media liaisons, of which over 50% were published in the general news section while stories of various angles were published in sports, entertainment news and business sections.
