Project Description

HKNPIS Fearless Dragon Charity Run – PR & Event Management (April 2016, 2017 & 2018)

Fearless Dragon Charity Run is a running race organised by Hong Kong Network for the Promotion of Inclusive Society (HKNPIS) aimed to raise both funds and public awareness about equal participation of persons with a disability in the community, and the realization of a more inclusive society.  PR for Good, following a careful analysis of the run of the previous years, tailor made and executed strategic plans on PR, marketing and event management, and pooled in support from corporate sponsors, government officials and celebrities.

Results:

  • We helped HKNPIS form a strategic partnership with MIRARunners, a project co-founded by Kenyan marathon runner Lukas Wambua to take the event to a higher level in a sense that it attracted more serious runners to the charity run and that the concept of inclusion has expanded to different races.
  • We blended media publicity and fundraising in an effort of lining up a C-suite celebrity from a corporate sponsor and a deaf runner to join the blindfold run as a duo in 2016.
  • We helped the HKNPIS build a more solid basis for sponsorship solicitation and event management, in particular the kick off ceremony and the stage programme on event day.
  • We organised a pre-event fundraising event for Blindfold 100 Challenges in 2017, and a PR stunt known as Blindfold X Barefoot Challenge prior to the run in 2018 which was covered by TVB’s programme Sport World
